Purchased this workbook to help improve our son's math score who is in the 7th grade. After consecutive report cards with a "c" in math and a progress report pointing to yet another C, I decided to have my son do a few extra problems a day (about 6 EVERY day including weekends). Well, I'm glad to say the last report card was all A's and B's including a B in math. This book has a good variety of problems, but what I like best is the preforated answer sheets in the back! I easily detached and keep them to quickly check my sons work, and let him know which problems need to be re-worked, If you've been out of school a looooong time like myself, it helps tremendously to be able to quickly determine if your child has solved the problems correctly. Also purchased the Algebra workbook for grades 6-8. Very happy with this purchase and price is definitely work the results!
I am a teacher and I also tutor so I am always looking for good workbooks to use with my students. This book met by needs to teach Geometry. I like that it has a pre-test and a post-test for each unit, so you don't have to go through the whole book if your student passes the pre-test. It has an answer key and it is also very kid friendly. I would recommend the Spectrum series.
We used this as a workbook in the summer to review/reinforce math done during the school year. If you are not, as a parent, good in math, be aware that this workbook does not teach concepts and give examples. It just has problems and answers in the back. Since math is my strength, I did not find it problematic.

Bought if for my son to improve his geometry comprehension and retention. Has great practice problems and problem sets, which is the main reason we bought it. A little light on instruction, but a very solid and extremely useful practice book. Would definitely purchase other titles by the same publisher!!
I found this book to be too difficult for 6th graders. There are not many graphics, either. I used the pre-tests, but that was it.
This is perfect for me and homeschooling my kids, no guess work because this is keeping us right on grade level.
