Jean Kerr is one very sophisticated, funny lady. She writes about family, her life as wife of NYT theater critic Walter Kerr, her life as a playwright, and her life as wife and mother of six. With six kids, you must laugh or escape to Bali. She laughs and we laugh with her. Yes, the book is older, but I didn't find the humor, language, or events dated a bit. Jean Kerr is funny in way that never goes out of style.
I read this many years ago when I was very very young, so some of the phrases and punch lines now make sense as they didn't so many years ago. However, one thing that remained the same was the teriffic humor that Jean injected into her writing. This was a great blast from the past and I'm happy to have it as a permanent part of my home library!
Love this book!! Similar to Irma Bombeck's style, Kerr is hysterical! Even though this book was originally published in the 1950s much of the content is familiar to today's women and the things we think about. Hope you can find a copy. :)

I first read this wonderful book when it appeared in paperback back in the . . . well, a while ago, anyway. It is still as amusing and delightful as I remembered it being. Get it and its follow-up, "The Snake Has All the Lines," kick back, and enjoy!
This book is used but in very good condition. I loved reading the story again ( I read it first when I was in High school!)
PLEASE DON'T EAT THE DAISES IS A CLASSIC BOOK FULL OF HUMORUS SHORT STORIES OF HER HUNBAND AND FIVE SONS WHO LATER ADDED A LITTLE GIRL. TO THE LARGE HAPPY GROUO. I LOVED THE BOOK.
