Well made, with bits of information about each pictured site used. I have always been "drawn" to the earlier eras of Irish, Scottish, and British lore. As a teenager, I read Harlequin romance novels...lol. The settings for my romances always took place in "ye days of olde" in the above mentioned countries.Not too long ago, my brother and I sent in our DNA samples thru Ancestry and we were shocked to learn we were over both over 30% British and Irish!! On the female side, I had more Irish than my brother, and on the male side, he was more British than me.Perhaps somewhere deep inside me, part of my psyche knew this all along...lol.
The second year of purchasing this beautiful calendar, which covers Scotland, England, Wales & Ireland. The photographs are gorgeous, the explanations very good, every religion's dates noted.
This is the 3rd or 4th year I've bought this calendar and I've always been impressed. Excellent, professional photographs and very nice quality paper. ( i can't say that about a couple of other calendars I've bought online) I will say I am a bit disappointed in the inclusion of a couple of Christian sites on this years calendar. I'd prefer it remain focused on ancient Celtic landmarks.
I love having a calendar in my bathroom next to the sink, especially if it is beautiful, has inspirational words, moon phases and times, eclipses, etc. But it has to have wonderful pictures I can enjoy each month. This one does not disappoint. Being of Celtic ancestry, I appreciate the sites chosen for this calendar. Last year I had Japanese gardens, which I loved. This year, went to a different area of the world.
Love the photos throughout the entire calendar.But be sure to look closely at the pages before purchase, if you need a lot of room to write the squares are smaller than on most calendars due to the writing on the side of the page.Plan on purchasing this again next year :)
Wonderful wall calendar. Beautiful pictures of Celtic sites with detailed histories of each site. Religious holidays from many different traditions (including pagan) are noted along with phases of the moon. This is my third year getting this calendar.
The beautiful photography of the sacred sites and the brief educational synopses of the sites are very interesting. This is a calendar many would enjoy all year long.
A beautiful calendar with fascinating write-ups and photographs of a variety of celtic sacred sites. A gift to myself!
