Super spectacular voice of the gent reading this version of the Bible. I like the Amplified Bible best going in. Listening to it gives a very different perspective. And the price was certainly a lot better than I had hoped for. Highly recommended on all levels.NOTE: This is a DVD and contains MP3 file folders of the Old and New Testaments. I transferred the files to my computer and reduced the bit rate to 64bps. To play this DVD without a computer, you will need an MP3 player that plays DVDs.
I need audio bible to help me focus on what I'm reading, and the only AMP audio version I could find was an app with a computer voice. Finally found this through the Lockman Foundation website and decided I could pay $20 to hear my favorite bible version read to me forever. The voice actor is terrific and does not distract from the text. This can be comfortably listened to at 1x speed or 1.25x speed. Highly recommend!
i'm on my 2nd run through the audio, no annoying music in the background, good enunciation of the hard to pronounce words. it uses a lot of descriptions to get the meaning across for the layman using it as a self study during drives. FYI, unless your vehicle can play DVD's transfer it onto another media device, iphone via blue tooth or flash drive to play in your car otherwise lots of CD's, or just play it on your computer or DVD player at home
Yes, it is true that the complete old and new testament are on this DVD and it plays just fine on my computer. But I bought it to play on my Walkman CD player. I probably should have known that it would not work for that. So I bought a small portable unit Daily Meditation 1 AMP Audio Bible Player - Amplified Bible. It is perfect for portable listening. I also bought the Daily Meditation 1 KJV Dramatized Audio Bible Player - King James Version Electronic Bible. Now I have both versions and I love it
everybody should have this. i fall asleep with this on, and i sleep like a baby all night long. it's the last thing satan wants you to do--listen to the Word of God. so he doesn't waste his time trying to make you worry--he wants you to fall asleep. and i might i add--sleep comes immediately. during the day, i play it in the car, around the house--it's a wonderful way to have someone read to you and pronounce all those difficult hebrew and greek names. enjoy
Although I loved the content, I have found that there are areas where scripture is actually missing.
I put it in my computer and it works great.I have not listened to much of it, yet and do not know if it is perfect, but it is well worth what I paid for it.Thanks very very much.Jesus Christ bless you all abundantly.By the way, the King James is and always will be my favorite bible.
THIS IS THE BEST WAY WAY TO FEED ON THE WORD. YOU CAN HEAR THE WORD AND SEE THE WORD AT THE SAME TIME. DOUBLE THE POWER. I CAN TAKE IN THE MUCH MORE THAN READING IT ON MY OWN. SOMETIMES I'M TOO TIRED TO READ, BUT I CAN ALWAYS HEAR THE WORD AND TAKE IT IN TO MY SPIRIT. MY SPIRIT IS BECOMING STRONGER DAY BY DAY. DO NOT MISS OUT.
